CSA Preface
This is the first edition of CAN/CSA-ISO 5366-3, Anaesthetic and respiratory equipment - Tracheostomy tubes - Part 3: Paediatric tracheostomy tubes, which is an adoption without modification of the identically titled ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Standard 5366-3 (second edition, 2001-08-15). For brevity, this Standard will be referred to as "CAN/CSA-ISO 5366-3" throughout.
Scope
This part of ISO 5366 gives requirements for paediatric tracheostomy tubes made of plastics materials and/or rubber having inside diameters from 2,00 mm to 6,0 mm. Requirements for paediatric tracheostomy tube connectors and adaptors are also given.
This part of ISO 5366 is not applicable to specialized tracheostomy tubes.
